Once a fishing village, Torre Del Mar is now one of the most famous tourist resorts on the Costa Del Sol, Spain.  It is located between the spectacular views of Meditteranean Sea and the Sierra Nevada Mountain.  The resort is about 28km away from the historical city of Velez Malaga and a 30-mins ride from the nearest airport, Malaga International Airport.

The shoreline is lined with restaurants, shopping malls, bars, and discos especially at Avenida de Andalucia and Paseo de Larios.  The beachside stretch of EI Copo has some of the best bars and discos that remain open till 6 am. Lo que es mas! The summer night market remains open till 3:00 AM so you can enjoy the bar and the Spanish tourism culture till your heart’s content.

4- Km Beach and Aquavelis Water Park


The most attractive thing about Torre Del Mar is its astonishing 4-km long beach that stretches all the way to the village of Caleta de Velez, a neighboring fishing town.  You can enjoy warm sunshine, clean promenade and barbequed meat and fish from the chiringuitos that line the entire coastline year round.

Aquavelis Water Park

You can rent boats with all the resources you need for a relaxing day further into the ocean.  Make sure not to miss the Aquavelis Water Park that has water rides for people of all ages.  It keeps kids and the elders entertained for hours.  The park is clean, and the staff is extremely friendly.  The beach is completely secure with different services like rescue and the lifeguard always alert and at your service.

Malls, Resturants and Side Walks

El Ingenio Mall

You will find restaurants with specialized traditional Spanish food, seafood restaurants as well as the international restaurants. You can find the cuisine of your choice and enjoy them in the serene beauty of the surroundings.  El Ingenio Mall is not to be missed for some much needed retail therapy and if you’re in a real mood for relaxation, head to one of the many spas and natural rooms.

Paseo Maritimo

Torrenigma Escape Room is another perfect place for you if you’re in the mood for games and puzzles.  Paseo Maritimo is a good spot if you want to enjoy a relaxing walk.  You can enjoy cocktails and many other activities that are happening all the time along the way.  If you want, you can rent bicycles and scooters to explore the area more.

Torre Del Mar sees most of its tourists from June to September, but you can visit and enjoy the place at any time of the year.  You can plan a trip to the Torre Del Mar during summer as well as winters.
